In 2017, our client, the Center for Safe Internet Pharmacies (CSIP) sought our services to build a website aimed at highlighting awareness of the safe use of prescription medications and resources from partner organizations aimed at assisting loved ones through the difficult process of recovery from misuse and abuse of these medications. With the concerning increase of opioid abuse in the United States, this timely and focused site – MedicineSafe.org – was built with the support and collaboration of several state governments and organizational sponsors which are represented on the site. Key informational points on the website are geolocated to particular states so that residents visiting those states are able to see localized information related to the unique needs and information in their states and the geolocation functionality enables this website to easily incorporate localized information for each subsequent state that joins this growing campaign.
Perisphere was also responsible for designing an easily recognizable brand for MedicineSafe which highlighted the main goal of this campaign website. The resulting brand mark highlights symbols of protection (a shield), and emphasis on safety (the bold imprint on the word “Safe” in the logo) and a green color which reflects security and trustworthiness across the internet. We also worked with collaborating agencies to develop additional graphical resources and remain engaged with CSIP to strategize, produce and manage social media and search ads associated with the campaign.
