Center for Safe Internet Pharmacies Responsive Website Project (2016)
The mission of the Center for Safe Internet Pharmacies (CSIP) is to promote and encourage safe online pharmacies through education, enforcement, and information sharing. We have worked closely with CSIP since their formation in 2011 and 2012, when we established their web presence, brand marks and logo. We have also coordinated efforts to promote the work of the organization from their initial 2012 launch at the White House through public awareness videos and regular collaborative engagement with their team. We ensure that curated and relevant information and resources, as well as news and other materials are made available on their website, presented with graphic design that represents their organization, and promoted via various forms of social media as well as occasional e-newsletters. We work with CSIP to identify possibilities for growth and promotion, and to implement that strategy within a set monthly budget.
In consultation with the CSIP team in 2015, we proposed a project to make their website mobile-friendly. This was accomplished in stages over the first three months of 2016 to accommodate client budget needs. The process included strategy around the creation of wireframes to document breakpoints for small mobile devices, small screen tablets, and large screen tablets. It proceeded with test implementations of code updates across the entire site to define those breakpoints in mobile devices, and remediation of text, image, and video content across the site to ensure optimal appearance in mobile view. Plugins and other items were simultaneously updated as needed. We ensured consistency of end-user experience across devices through extensive internal testing and provided a test development site to the CSIP team for their own end-user testing. Upon completion of this effort we performed an expedited launch on CSIP’s live website during an agreed upon period of low activity, followed by verification testing.
